Shepherds Flat Wind Farm Is an 84 (MW) land based wind farm located in Oregon the state of US. The facility of Shepherds Flat Wind Farm is planted in Eastern Oregon in both Morrow and Gilliam counties of Greek, near Arlington. This project got an approval in 2008 by state regulators and pioneers came in 2009. The wind farm was constructed by Caithness Energy using General Electric (GE) with 2.5 MW wind turbines, and it supplies electricity to Southern California Edison. The wind farm is estimated to have economic revenue of $16 million annually for Oregon. It is one of the largest land-based wind farms in the world. Shepherds Flat Wind Farm was officially opened to public in September 2012.
